Dr Ninar Itani is a Clinical Psychologist with nearly twenty years of experience working with children, adolescents, and families across the UAE, Lebanon, and Canada. She is trained in both clinical and educational psychology and holds a doctorate in Clinical Psychology.

She began her career designing individualized educational programs and providing therapy for children with learning, developmental, and behavioral challenges. In Montreal, she worked with the Ministry of Health and Social Services in Youth Protection, offering assessment, intervention, and trauma-informed support to vulnerable young people and their families.

Dr Ninar has since practiced across inpatient, outpatient, school, and community settings, treating a wide range of presentations including anxiety, depression, ADHD, autism, trauma-related difficulties, anger, personality challenges, and learning or intellectual disabilities.

Her clinical work is integrative and culturally sensitive, drawing on CBT, Trauma-Focused CBT, ACT, Play Therapy, DBT, EMDR, Brainspotting, and parenting work, tailored to each child and family.

Dr Ninar is also very active in humanitarian mental health efforts. She has worked with organizations such as War Child, the Red Cross, the UN, and PCRF, and is the co-founder of Keif Community, a social enterprise supporting children and families
