CDA Registered Psychologist Dubai

Leyli is a UK-trained Psychotherapist with five years of experience in public and private sectors across the UK and UAE. She holds a Master’s Degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy from the University of Strathclyde and is currently pursuing a PhD in Psychology at Heriot-Watt University.

Leyli works with children, adolescents, and parents. When working with clients, Leyli adopts a Person-Centred approach to offer an empathic, practical, playful, and relational approach providing therapy that considers clients’ unique needs. Leyli draws from other approaches, such as: CBT, Child-Centred Play Therapy, Circle of Security (Parenting), EMDR, and Internal Family Systems.

Leyli is a ‘neurodiversity affirming therapist’, meaning that she loves to support neurodivergent clients with insight, compassion, and no expectations that they should become more ‘neurotypical’ in their presentation. She uses a strengths-based approach and likes to include parents and school professionals in the therapeutic process. Through the counselling relationship, Leyli hopes clients can discover their inner strength to be able to manage life’s challenges and reach their full potential.
Outside of work, Leyli enjoys spending time with family, cooking, and being outdoors. She also has a passion for reading and continuously learning about psychology and neurodiversity.
