Leilani is a U.S.-trained Licensed Counselor with a Master of Education from the College of William & Mary and a Bachelor’s degree in Developmental Psychology from the University of Virginia. With over a decade of experience supporting individuals and families across private practices, schools, homes, and research settings in the US, UK, and UAE, she brings both clinical depth and real-world understanding to her work.
Leilani specializes in helping clients navigate relationship challenges, parenting concerns, and personal struggles across all stages of life. She works with individuals, couples, and families who may feel stuck, disconnected, or overwhelmed, and supports them in building stronger, more effective ways of relating to themselves and one another.
Her approach is person-centered and integrative, grounded in her training in Structural Family Therapy. Leilani focuses on understanding the patterns and dynamics that shape relationships, helping clients create meaningful, lasting change rather than short-term fixes. She offers a warm, collaborative space where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered as they work toward their goals.
Leilani is especially passionate about strengthening romantic partnerships, improving parent-child relationships, and helping families function with greater connection and ease. She believes that everyone deserves to feel connected, effective, and respected in their relationships—and she works closely with her clients to make that a reality.
Her clinical practice includes 1:1 therapy, family/couple therapy using a range of approaches including Systemic, CBT, CFT, Narrative, CAT, behavioural and psychodynamic. She adapts each approach to make them person-centred and helps support systems understand the person they care for through the individual’s eyes..
