Dr Arran Kai Nurse holds a Professional Doctorate in Educational and Child Psychology (DEdChPsy) from the University of East London. From his earliest experiences supporting children with complex needs, Arran has been driven by a simple belief: every child deserves to feel seen, heard and understood. As a young, mixed-heritage psychologist, he recognises and values diversity and individuality, and for him, celebrating each child’s unique story lies at the heart of meaningful change.
His assessments are grounded in current research, tailored to each individual, and informed by close collaboration with families, schools and other professionals. Social justice shapes his approach—he combines neuroaffirmative, strengths-based methods with empathy, honesty, and care to ensure families feel confident and informed throughout the assessment process. Relationships are central to his work; his warmth, optimism, and professional integrity help children and parents feel supported and empowered to navigate challenges with hope and clarity.
