Dr Longshaw completed her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the University of Glasgow, following a postgraduate Master’s degree in Applied Psychology for Children and Young People from the University of Edinburgh. Dr Longshaw is registered with the HCPC and licensed with DHA.
Prior to relocating to the UAE, Dr Longshaw worked for nine years within the UK’s National
Health Service, primarily in CAMHS. During this time, she developed strong expertise in
assessing and treating a wide range of emotional and mental health difficulties in children,
young people and adults.
Dr Longshaw is trained in various therapeutic approaches including trauma focussed CBT
and ACT. She has extensive experience working with complex presentations,
neurodevelopmental assessments as well as neuropsychological assessments.
Dr Longshaw offers evidence-based interventions tailored to each client’s developmental
stage and unique needs. She is committed to providing compassionate, collaborative, and
culturally attuned care, helping young people build resilience, develop healthy coping
strategies, and work toward meaningful change.
In her previous roles, Dr Longshaw supervised doctoral and masters trainees, supported
service development and delivered training sessions both in and out of house.
