Step by Step Guide:
- Register with Dubai Health. This can be done through UAE pass or at dha.gov.ae
- Call Dubai Heath on 80060 (or use the DHA App) to book an appointment with a pediatrician for children or family doctor for Adults at a Government Clinic or Hospital.
- Attend this appointment with your relevant reports and explain that you are following the process to obtain a POD card which requires a referral for an official assessment at a government hospital. For children, request a referral to a pediatrician. There are various options available for assessment locations in Dubai including but not limited to: Al Jalila Hospital, Al Amal Hospital or Rashid Hospital.
- Your assessment will be with a specialist at a Government Hospital where you will be asked questions and reports will be reviewed. If the doctor has enough information the required medical report will be produced. If further investigation or assessment is required, you will be informed. Once you have paid for the visit and report, it will be sent to you.
- When you have received your medical report, you can apply online for your POD card at info@cda.gov.ae. You will be required to submit the report along with a photo (on white background), passport, EID and visa. You will then receive your card.
- You are now officially in the Government Health System.
