Orla McClory is an Irish Specialist Paediatric Occupational Therapist who graduated from Ulster University, Northern Ireland. She has over 10 years experience working across schools, clinics and community services in Ireland, the UK and the UAE. She supports children and young people with a wide range of developmental, sensory, physical and neurodevelopmental needs and/or differences.
Orla has extensive experience supporting autistic, ADHD and other neurodivergent children across home, school and community environments. She is trained in Ayres Sensory Integration® (ASIwise) and DIRFloortime®, and has additional specialist training in upper limb management, splinting, wheelchair and seating prescription for children with physical disabilities.
Orla’s practice is grounded in a neurodiversity-affirming, strengths-based philosophy. She believes every child deserves to feel understood, respected and empowered to participate in the activities that matter most to them. Therapy is guided by each child’s individual strengths, interests and goals, with a strong emphasis on connection, co-regulation, meaningful participation and play. Orla is committed to ongoing reflection and learning, ensuring her practice continues to align with current evidence and the lived experiences of autistic and neurodivergent people.
