Speech and Language Support for Ages 3-5

Key Focus

Building strong early communication skills using research‑based strategies that support listening, understanding, expressive language, play, and early speech development. This course helps you navigate, child-led play, Hanen strategies, Curiosity Approach and DIR-Floor Time approaches. This course can help you apply neuroaffirming support.

The course is quality‑assured and accredited through OCN London, level 2 or 3. KHDA points pending.

Key Concepts / Goals 

• Understand how communication develops and recognise early communication difficulties.

• Learn how to create a communication‑friendly environment and strengthen adult–child interactions.

• Support listening, attention, vocabulary growth, and early understanding of language.

• Use play‑based strategies to build social, expressive, and narrative skills.
• Develop confidence supporting children with unclear speech, stammering, and phonological awareness needs.

Course Details 

📅 Starts: Wednesday 2nd September 2026 3-4pm GST for 10 weeks. No session during mid-term (19th of October) and last session on 11th of November.

💰 Cost: 2000 AED

This includes accreditation, access to e-learning, live webinars, individualised feedback on learning, Language Builders Digital Manual. KHDA certificate additional 150aed (optional)
Each week you will:

1. Access weekly E-learning each focusing on a different area of speech, language and communication.
2. Join weekly Live Webinars to discuss and reflect on E-learning with an Elklan Tutor support (Wednesdays 3pm on Teams)
3. Complete weekly Learning Logs to achieve OCN accreditation. This involves reflective practice, practical strategies and case studies based on the children you support.

Commitment  

• E-learning tasks are between 45-60 minutes and can be accessed anytime

• Live tutor sessions are 60 minutes and mandatory to receive accreditation.

• Learnings logs must be completely within your own time. Some tasks differ in length and complexity depending on level 2 or 3 being completed so the time. Written work in English and a device is required for these to be completed.
