Dr Neelam is a compassionate, inclusive, and person-centred Clinical Psychologist with over 10 years of experience in community-based psychology. She completed her doctoral training at the University of Birmingham in the UK and has worked across a range of specialist services supporting individuals across the lifespan, from children and young people to older adults.
Dr Neelam has extensive experience across a range of specialist services, including trauma, depression and anxiety, psychosis, and bipolar disorder. This breadth of expertise enables her to support individuals presenting with complex and diverse mental health needs. She also works with people experiencing stress and burnout, identity challenges, OCD, and adjustment difficulties, to name a few.
Dr Neelam also has experience working with young people aged 13 and above, placing a strong emphasis on developing a trusting therapeutic relationship to create a safe and collaborative space where young people feel heard, understood, and supported.
Dr Neelam’s clinical approach is grounded in empathy, cultural humility, and respect for each person’s unique experiences and challenges. She is committed to tailoring interventions to the individual, fostering a collaborative therapeutic relationship that empowers clients to navigate their difficulties with dignity, resilience, and hope.
Dr Neelam offers a range of evidence-based therapies, including Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Psychoanalytic Approaches, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR).
Out of work, Dr Neelam enjoys reading a good book, cooking and hosting, spending time with her dog, and spending time with family and friends.
