Griffiths III Practical Training Course

9–10 April 2026  – Insights Psychology, Dubai

The Griffiths Scales of Child Development provides a comprehensive assessment of development in infants and young children.

They are widely used in clinical, educational, and early-intervention settings to support diagnostic, developmental, and planning processes.

Griffiths III is considered a gold standard comprehensive and standardised tool for assessing development in children from birth to 5 years 11 months, across five areas: 

• Foundations of Learning 

• Language and Communication 

• Eye and Hand Coordination 

• Personal-Social-Emotional 

• Gross Motor 

It supports diagnosis, intervention planning, and tracking progress over time. 

Course Content:

• Supervised administration of the Griffiths III with children.
• Scoring, interpretation, and profile analysis.
• Application to clinical and educational cases.
• Assessment of children with diverse developmental presentations.
• Preparation for ethical and competent independent use.
• Professionals can become registered users of Griffiths III by completing a two-part course:
  • Part I is an online e-learning module covering the theory of child development and assessment prior to taking the practical course. Register at ARICD.
  • Part II is a 2-day practical course in Dubai, delivered by ARICD-approved tutors, and hosted by Insights Psychology. Upon completion, participants receive certification and may purchase assessment kits from Hogrefe.

Who Should Attend?

Clinical psychologists, educational psychologists, paediatricians, speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, early-intervention specialists, and allied health professionals involved in child development and neurodevelopmental services.

Please note that Griffiths III training is only open to therapists and allied health professionals (AHPs) who are working as part of a Multidisciplinary Team (MDT). Independent or sole practitioners working in private practice are not eligible to undertake this training unless they are formally part of an MDT.
