Play My Way!

Autistic thinkers often have a personal and unique style in their preferred play activities. There is no perfect way to play, every play style should be facilitated and valued.

Play My Way! is a facilitated play group for autistic thinkers, that allows children to come together to celebrate and share their play interests. Children are encouraged to explore their high interests, and the see emotional value in their own play. This group will provide opportunities to play alongside peers, play interactively with peers, using high interests to support play, and exploring new opportunities for play in a neuro-affirming context.

Parenting a neurodivergent child can be a challenge and a delight. Alongside the play group for children, parents are encouraged to attend an adjacent and facilitated parent support group at Insights. Parents can share experiences and knowledge to equip themselves and the people around them in their parenting journey.

This is an after-school group that runs on Thursdays, and weekly from the 11th of January, for 6 weeks (one week break for school midterm holidays).
