We are seeking a strategic and dynamic Quality Manager to lead quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives across both plant and office environments. This position plays a key role in overseeing all aspects of product and process quality, driving corrective actions, and ensuring compliance with internal and external standards.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong automotive industry experience, a data-driven mindset, and a passion for continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.
Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and develop the Quality Department team. Establish performance goals and implement individual development plans.
Corrective Actions & Customer Satisfaction: Oversee corrective actions and drive improvements in customer satisfaction metrics (PPMs, PRRs, QRs).
Core Tools & Documentation: Maintain and update Control Plans, PFMEAs, and related quality documentation per AIAG and customer requirements.
Problem Solving & Reporting: Champion cross-functional problem-solving, root cause analysis, and data-driven improvement initiatives.
Product & Process Quality: Ensure all product specifications are met for fit, finish, durability, and appearance. Track and report performance of key product and process characteristics (KPCs).
Compliance & Certification: Ensure compliance with quality system requirements such as IATF 16949 and ISO 9001.
Customer & Supplier Relations: Serve as the primary contact for customer quality concerns. Oversee supplier quality performance and conduct audits as needed.
Operational Support: Support initiatives to reduce scrap and downtime while improving First Time Quality (FTQ).
Bachelor’s degree in a manufacturing-related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
7–10 years of experience as a Quality Manager in the automotive (Tier 1) industry, with at least 3 years in a supervisory quality control or assurance role.
Proven leadership experience in a turnaround or high-volume manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and Ford Q1 standards.
Proficient in AIAG Core Tools (APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, MSA, SPC, Control Plans).
Certifications: Six Sigma Green/Black Belt and/or ASQ CQE preferred.
Skilled in Minitab and 8D problem-solving.
Experience with color and appearance testing (Macbeth or similar equipment).
Multilingual abilities are a plus.
Ability to travel up to 25% as required.
Valid driver’s license required.
Comfortable navigating both plant and office environments.
