Fitness Specialist

(Certified Personal Trainer and/or Group Fitness Instructor)

Position Highlights:

As a Fitness Specialist with AgeSTRONG, you will be developing and leading a fitness caseload to help clients live the best rest of their lives in addition to wellness programs and educational opportunities.

Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and group programs to enhance the cognitive, physical, and mental health of clients throughout their aging journey.
• Create and deliver engaging, safe, and effective workouts for participants of varying fitness and ability levels.
• Provide motivation, encouragement, and support to foster a supportive and inclusive environment for all participants.
• Deliver health and wellness education at events such as: Health Talks, group classes, Vitality Health Fairs, exhibit booths.
• Utilize Consonus’ evidence-based clinical programs and pathways to ensure optimal client outcomes.
• Be a Champion of the Journey by maximizing function and well-being for clients, families, co-workers, and self.

• An active certification in a NCCA accredited program for Fitness Training is required.
• If providing Group Fitness Classes, an active certification in a NCCA accredited program for Group Fitness is required.
• Active CPR/AED certification via a live assessment is required.
• Previous experience working with seniors is preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational skills to facilitate program development.
• Strives to positively represent their discipline and AgeSTRONG in the community.
